Responsibilities

Tasks

• Greeting customers
• Taking customer orders, either in-person or over the phone
• Operating the cash register or point-of-sale (POS) system
• Processing payments, including cash, credit cards, and mobile payments
• Assisting with takeout or delivery orders
• Balancing the cash register at the end of shifts
• Distributing tips among the restaurant staff
