What Is the Venezuela E-Visa?

How to Apply for the Venezuela E-Visa
Applying for the Venezuela e-visa takes a few clear steps.
- Register on the portal. Go to the official Cancillería Digital site. Click “regístrate” to make an account. The site is in Spanish, so keep a translator tab open.
- Fill in the form. Add your passport details, travel dates, and trip purpose. Choose tourist (T) or business (TR-N).
- Upload your documents. You need a complete visa form, a valid passport, a passport photo, proof of a hotel or invitation letter, a return flight, and proof of funds. Business visas also need a corporate invitation letter from a Venezuelan company.

No Company? Try the Rentista Visa
Don’t want to run a business in Venezuela? There’s a passive option: the Transeúnte Rentista (TR-RE) visa.
To qualify, you need foreign passive income of at least USD 1,200 a month. That can come from rent, a pension, or dividends. Add USD 500 a month for each dependent.
This visa gives you a renewable one-year residency and a local Cédula. You cannot work locally on this visa, but remote work for a foreign company is fine. After two years on the Rentista visa, you can apply for full permanent residency, which removes the work ban.
