Recalled Shrimp and Brands
Washington based Direct Source is recalling about 83,000+ bags sold under Market 32 and Waterfront Bistro brands. Affected items include
1-lb bag – Market 32 frozen raw shrimp with “best by” dates from April 22 to April 27, 2027
2-lb bag – Waterfront Bistro frozen raw shrimp with “best by” dates April 25 and 26, 2027.
These were sold at Price Chopper, Jewel-Osco, Albertsons, Safeway, Lucky and other supermarket chains.
Where the Products Were Sold
Waterfront Bistro shrimp reached Safeway and Albertsons stores in Oregon and 16 other states, including New York, Pennsylvania, Colorado, Illinois and Massachusetts.
No illnesses have been reported, but the FDA urges anyone who purchased these products not to eat them. Shoppers should return the shrimp to stores for a full refund.
The warning comes at a critical time as many people plan new year party meals. Consumers and local businesses are advised to stay alert and avoid these frozen shrimp to prevent potential health risks.
