As the peak agricultural harvests arrive across Latvia, indoor industrial processing facilities and manufacturing plants are ramping up their high-volume production lines for seasonal exports. This framework offers structured seasonal contracts during critical operations months.

Targeted Processing Sectors
1. Fish & Seafood Processing
Located primarily in active processing facilities along the scenic Baltic Coast. Sponsoring facilities are onboarding production helpers to manage incoming seafood processing pipelines.
- Sorting, cleaning, and grading fresh marine catches.
- Basic production line preparation, slicing, and smokehouse layout support.
- Sealing, labeling, and boxing seafood products into temperature-controlled shipping crates.
2. Dairy & Poultry Packaging
Based in major regional logistics hubs and food industrial parks, these factory floor roles focus on handling high-volume consumer commodities heading into winter-prep markets.
- Managing high-speed conveyer packaging machinery for poultry products.
- Sorting, stacking, and palletizing consumer dairy goods (milk, cheeses, spreads).
- Performing automated factory-line checks, quality control labeling, and container sealing.
Permit and Sponsorship Structure
All employment frameworks strictly align with Latvian State Labor laws and seasonal employment visa standards:
- Contract Length: 3 to 4 months (August – November 2026 intake window).
- Sponsorship: Open to both EU and non-EU citizens. Registered employers provide necessary documentation for fast-track seasonal employment permits.
- Logistics Support: Standardized housing solutions are pre-arranged or subsidized close to industrial zones, pending final contract agreements.
Candidate Profile
- Age Threshold: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Physical Condition: Capability to work on active factory floor standing lines and within temperature-managed zones (cold rooms).
- Languages Needed: Basic English is preferred; internal on-site training requires no secondary language competencies.
- Experience Level: Entry-level roles. Prior industrial food manufacturing background is helpful but not mandatory.
Salary and Workplace Conditions
- Wages: Competitive hourly gross pay scales based on national industry agreements for food processing technicians.
- Shift Allocation: Operational flexibility is required for standard rotational industrial shift blocks during peak weeks.
