Peak season runs from May to October 2026. All roles are full time seasonal contracts.
Work Locations High Demand Regions
Hiring is concentrated in:
- Alentejo farming zone
- Algarve agricultural belt
- Ribatejo production areas
Exact farm placement depends on employer contracts.
Permit Structure Seasonal Work Visa
Seasonal permits are issued under Portuguese immigration and labour regulations supervised by Serviço de Estrangeiros e Fronteiras.
Permit validity:
- Up to 9 months within a 12 month period
- Employer sponsored contract required
- Approved accommodation confirmation required
Both EU and Non EU nationals may apply. Non EU workers receive work permit and visa sponsorship support from contracted employers.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum age 18 years
- Physically fit for outdoor agricultural work
- Basic English communication preferred
- Willingness to work flexible harvest shifts
- Team oriented attitude
Previous farm experience is valued but not mandatory for all roles.
